When that part of the world gets back on its feet, I wonder how many people in charge are going to be able to keep their lives after condemning so many others to death.<\/p>\n<p>I am saddened that I live in a world where politics is more important than helping people.  It was apparently that way in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2006\/02\/10\/politics\/10katrina.html\">New Orleans after Katrina<\/a>,  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.counterpunch.org\/amiri01062004.html\">Iran after the earthquake<\/a> and now in Myanmar after the cyclone.<\/p>\n<p>Just sad, but it makes me wonder how <a href=\"http:\/\/ipsnews.net\/interna.asp?idnews=27523\">Phuket, Thailand was able to bounce back<\/a> as well as they did so soon after the tsunami.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Apparently there are over 100,000 dead and the Myanmar junta is keeping US aid workers from the people.
