Did you know that the line AFTER Mitt Romney said “Corporations are people, my friend.” was “They are made of people.”? Puts a whole new perspective on what he was trying to say.
I hate having to defend the guy, but this is definitely one of those “taken out of context” moments. That said, I think it’s funny that a lot of people who were defending him when it came out didn’t point out what the next line was and instead chose to defend corporate personhood (which is a lot of crap if you ask me), and a lot of those same people seem to refuse to acknowledge that unions are made of people, cutting the size of government means people will lose their job, and sending troops into battle means sending people into battle.
Now, of course, I have to share a video.
