"Oh well, It can’t get any worse"

A few weeks ago, there was an “incident” with my Skype account that resulted in me being out $130, dropping Paypal and for the first time in my life, doubting doing anything involving money online. Skype reversed the charges and now I have over $100 in Skype Credit which is not very useful to me at all, but I remember thinking “Oh well, it can’t get any worse.’

Driving home a few days later, I get a blow out on the freeway and because nothing was open I had to leave my car at my ex-wife’s house until I could get it fixed in the morning. It was fixed with no problem and I remember thinking once again “Oh well, it can’t get any worse.”

A few days later, I was downsized. No big deal, after all a job is just a job and whether I keep it from one day to the next is usually at the behest of the people in charge. This day they decided that I wouldn’t have to come in the next day. I’m pretty sure that I will work again one day so I am not all that worried about things. Besides, I wouldn’t want to be a party if nobody wanted me there. Again “Oh well, it can’t get any worse.”

Late last week, I was really dizzy everytime I stood up. I have a blood pressure measuring thing (I think that is the official name for it) and it was 183 over 119. Time to worry a little, but to be honest with you, if I die then I die. I’m not going to go searching for death but if it catches up with me, then there’s really not a lot I can do about it. “Oh well, it can’t get any worse.”

Well it can. Patti was vomiting most of the night. She went to the doctor while I was home with the kids. She just called and told me that she was on the way to the hospital because she is now throwing up blood. The absolute worst thing that could happen in my life is if something were to happen to her.

God, Fate, Bob, whatever cosmic forces there are that are piling crap onto me, can you please just ease up a little? OK. Thanks
